We're in the last 24 hours of the campaign, folks!
Thanks to every single one of you, Growing Up on the Spectrum is now the biggest campaign we have EVER run! 😮
The success of this project shows that books like this aren’t just needed—they’re wanted by lots and lots of people!
Understanding, empathy, and unity are needed now more than ever, and we are so happy to see people coming together to help us make this book—which celebrates diversity, inclusion, and compassion—a reality.
The Numbers 📊
At well over 350% of our funding goal, with nearly 300 backers, we’ve already smashed through…
- Two stretch goals 💪
- Three add-ons unlocked 🔑
- Three free digital comics added to every backer’s rewards bundle. 📚
And, with just one day left to go, we wonder how many more goodies we might unlock with your support! 🔓
If we hit our coveted $15K stretch goal, we’ll create an animated version of the full book, so it can be accessible to even more readers!
And we’ve got two more amazing autism-related comics to add to everyone’s rewards if we hit our next two backer-count milestones!
Now's your last chance to share this campaign with someone who would love it, up your pledge, or grab an add-on item—any of those actions will help us fly higher than ever before with Growing Up on the Spectrum!
Don’t Forget…
You're invited to our big bash tomorrow night!
We'll make live art, answer all your questions, and give away epic prizes live on Twitch!
We'll see your at 5:00 pm Mountain Time (that's 7:00 Eastern / 6:00 Central / 4:00 Pacific) at the Oneshi Press Twitch Channel!

72-Hour Countdown Starts Now! ⏲️
– Mon, Feb 09, 2026 at 06:03:50 PM
Welcome to the last 72 hours of the campaign for Growing Up on the Spectrum! ⏳
This Is Where It Gets Interesting. 🤓
As we hit the 72-hour mark, the countdown clock on our campaign's homepage switches over from counting in days…to counting in hours! ⏲️ Keep your eye on that counter!
And the 72-hour threshold also means that this campaign will be bookmarked as "ending soon" by Kickstarter's algorithms, which means we'll get more visibility in search results. 👀
All of that added up means that the next 72 hours are going to be a wild ride! Buckle up, folks! 🚗
Stretch Goal City! 💪
We're hoping all that extra visibility will help us hit our next stretch goal of $15,000. Why? Because at that point, we'll have enough funding to create a visual, animated version of Growing Up on the Spectrum! 🎞️
As you know, we want to make this book as accessible as we can to as many people as possible! But animation, as you may also know, is very expensive. And, since we need to be sure we can afford it on top of manufacturing and shipping all of the other rewards we've already promised you fabulous folks, we can't commit to an animated book until we hit that $15K goal. 💰
We'd appreciate any support you can provide by sharing the campaign link with people you know who might like Growing Up on the Spectrum, upping your pledge, or adding an item or two to your cart!
Don't Forget the Countdown Party! 🥳
And hey, don't forget—we're throwing a party on Thursday to count down the end of the campaign!
We'll be live on Twitch from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Mountain Time, giving away prizes, creating live art, and generally getting up to shenanigans!
We hope to see you there!

We've officially arrived at the final week of the campaign for Growing Up on the Spectrum! ⌛
What kind of amazingness will these seven days bring? There's only one way to find out—by following along! 👀
But we can give you a little preview, if you'd like… 👇
Unlocked: Legend Catcher #1 🔓🔑
We've reached the coveted 250-backer milestone! Wow, wow, wow, folks! We are so happy that you're all here. Thank you for your support!
As a token of our appreciation for your backing, we're adding a digital copy of Tess Langston's Legend Catcher #1 to every single backer's rewards!
That's three free comics you'll now be receiving, just for being here! 🎁🎁🎁 (The first two are "Indie Readmore & the Hive of Scum & Villainy" 🐶🤠 by Tess Langston and Jayel Draco, and "Coffee Ghost" ☕👻 by Tess Langston.)
All About Legend Catcher
Legend Catcher is a paranormal series about Fitzwilliam O’Reily, a Mythos-Biologist (one who studies monsters) and the rest of the agents of the Hailstorm Agency trying not only to save endangered monsters, but also mediate between the supernatural and the human worlds. 🌏🧌
Tess watched way too many animal documentaries and “Tales From The Dark Side” as a kid and so decided to create this series, where she gets to cram her three biggest special interests—biology, mythology, and comics/animation—into one project! 🦠🦄😁
We're so excited to share Legend Catcher with all of you!
⌛ You're Invited to the Countdown Party! 🎉
We'd love to celebrate the incredible success of this amazing book with you, and we know you've got busy schedules…so we're inviting you to our countdown party A WEEK EARLY! 🥳
During our live-streamed countdown of the last two hours of the campaign, Tess, Jayel, and Lynsey will get up to plenty of shenanigans, make live art, and give away awesome FREE PRIZES to viewers—just for showing up! 🎁
Join us next Thursday, February 12, on Twitch to count down the end of the campaign and meet new friends, allies, and fam! ⌛
There's more to come as this campaign winds down, so stay tuned!
And in the meantime, give yourself a little pat on the back for being SO awesome!

All About Tess 👩🎨

Hi, backers!
Since we've been having so much fun talking about Growing Up on the Spectrum and all the other fabulous goodies we have in store for our backers…we realized we haven't taken much time to talk about the book's absolutely amazing creator, Tess Langston.
The Oneshi Press crew met Tess years ago through our local creative scene, probably encountering her for the first time at Missoula's amazing local sci-fi/fantasy convention, MisCon. Over the years, we've come to admire her positivity, wry sense of humor, and astonishing work ethic.
We have a feeling you'll think just as highly of her as we do—especially after you've read Growing Up on the Spectrum. But before the book is in your hands, here's a bit more about Tess…
All About Tess 👩🎨
Tess Langston, the creator of Growing Up on the Spectrum, is an autistic writer, artist, and the founder of ShadowCast Studio.
As early as 3-4 years old, Tess was diagnosed with infantile autism. Through years of hard work, extensive therapies, and the support of her family, she found different methods of communication with the neurotypical world around her, including art. She found that through art, she could communicate not only visually, but emotionally, too.
Her love of sequential storytelling sprouted from being read Where the Wild Things Are and grew with animation, Sunday comics, manga, and graphic novels. Every chance she gets, she crams her three biggest special interests—biology, mythology, and comics/animation—into her work. Her muses are monsters, emotional vulnerability, and the extremes of snappy comedy and dark horror.
Tess is the creator behind “Coffee Ghost” and “Legend Catcher.” She has also been a contributor to Oneshi Press with co-writing and drawing “Mr. Guy: Zombie Hunter in ‘The Cheese Cave Files’” and “Indie Readmore & the Hive of Scum & Villainy,” along with inking for “Children of Gaia: Cohorts” and creating guest art for Mr. Guy: Act 2 and Tracy Queen V4: This Is Huge.
Learn more about Tess at ShadowCastStudio.com, or read her ongoing webcomic Legend Catcher!
Till next time…
