We've got great news! (And couldn't we all use some great news?)
We just sent out backer surveys! 🥳
We partner with BackerKit to send out surveys to all of our backers. They'll be emailing every single backer of Bloom Squad within the next 24 hours with a backer survey...and we need all of our backers to complete them!
🤔 What The Heck Is a Backer Survey? ❓
This is not just a feedback form, where you get to tell us what a great job we did (or didn't do). Backer surveys are an absolutely essential tool we use to collect the information we need to fulfill your rewards! 🔨
That includes: your up-to-date contact information, preferred mailing address, final reward choices, and any other vital info we need to send you your goodies. 📦
Plus, it's where you tell us what name you'd like us to say "thanks" to in Growing Up on the Spectrum and online.
🎁 We want to make sure every last one of you gets your well-earned rewards!
So here’s the deal:
- 📅 Surveys are going out over the next 24 hours.
- 📨 Personalized links to your survey will arrive via email from BackerKit, a third-party service we use to facilitate backer surveys.
- 🔍 Check your inbox, promotions tab, and spam folder, just in case it went to the wrong place.
- ❓If you don’t receive a survey by Sunday—please tell us! We'll make sure you get your survey.

About the Add-Ons Store 🛒
BackerKit is a great tool for us to collect and securely store your information so we can fulfill your rewards.
But it's also a handy way to offer you lots of amazing items, including the entire Oneshi Press back catalogue and all the merch we have available! So, if you'd like to explore our other comics, anthologies, books, stickers, art, and more, now's your chance! They're all available through BackerKit.

We've taken a few days to process the absolute amazingness of the experience you all gave us during this campaign. Your support for Tess's project and for the concept of bringing people together to understand one another better has warmed our hearts and re-ignited our passion for publishing.

We hit that last $15K stretch goal—the creation of a visual, animatic version of the book—in the last hour of the Kickstarter! Talk about a great ending to a great campaign!
But, since it happened at the last minute, and we were live-streaming our countdown party at the time, we were not able to make it available to backers before the campaign ended.
Don't worry, though! We'll have it available as an add-on for every backer when we send out Backer Surveys in a few weeks.

The below schedule is not set in stone, since we can never be certain of how long proofing, printing, shipping, etc. will take. But here are best guesses at what you can expect in the coming weeks and months!

2/12 - 2/23 - Kickstarter charges credit cards immediately upon the end of the campaign. If there's a problem with the card you have on file, you'll be notified so can update your info and get your rewards! It usually takes about ten days for Kickstarter to follow up with any stragglers and collect all payments.💳

2/26 - 3/5 - The campaign funds will land in Oneshi Press's account sometime this week. 💰

3/5 - 3/20 - As soon as the funds from Kickstarter arrive in our account, we'll send out backer surveys to collect shipping addresses and final item counts we need to fulfill your rewards! You'll have about 2 weeks to complete them. 📩

3/23 - 4/20 - Once surveys are collected, we'll place orders with our manufacturers, then wait for everything to come to us. During this time, we'll also send out digital rewards! 📨

The success of this project shows that books like this aren’t just needed—they’re wanted by lots and lots of people!
Understanding, empathy, and unity are needed now more than ever, and we are so happy to see people coming together to help us make this book—which celebrates diversity, inclusion, and compassion—a reality.

This Is Where It Gets Interesting. 🤓
As we hit the 72-hour mark, the countdown clock on our campaign's homepage switches over from counting in days…to counting in hours! ⏲️ Keep your eye on that counter!
And the 72-hour threshold also means that this campaign will be bookmarked as "ending soon" by Kickstarter's algorithms, which means we'll get more visibility in search results. 👀
All of that added up means that the next 72 hours are going to be a wild ride! Buckle up, folks! 🚗
Stretch Goal City! 💪
We're hoping all that extra visibility will help us hit our next stretch goal of $15,000. Why? Because at that point, we'll have enough funding to create a visual, animated version of Growing Up on the Spectrum! 🎞️
As you know, we want to make this book as accessible as we can to as many people as possible! But animation, as you may also know, is very expensive. And, since we need to be sure we can afford it on top of manufacturing and shipping all of the other rewards we've already promised you fabulous folks, we can't commit to an animated book until we hit that $15K goal. 💰
